History

One of the favorite activities that are part of Vermont Experience has to be tasting fresh Maple syrup.  Visiting a Maple Syrup farm and conducting your own research as to what color maple syrup you like best (from light to dark, they all offer a slightly different flavor).

Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks, located in Montpelier is a great place to conduct your own research.

Morse Farm is an 8th generation family owned farm.  One of the fun activities while visiting is seeing displays of how maple syrup was captured from trees directly.

When you visit Morse Farm, you can take in and purchase your Maple Syrup, but there is more being offered by this location. These include other products that are made in Vermont.  Additionally, there is an outdoor Vermont farm life area to explore.

Seasonal Specialties:

Spring:  This time of year, visitors line up to taste the sugar on snow festival.  It is hot maple sugar which is turned to taffy and then drizzled over shaved ice and served with a fresh donut.

Summer: Morse Maple creemee is the focus of this season.  Plus the grounds are open to exploration for the visitors.

Fall:  The Fall foliage is the focus of this season (although shorter season than traditional Fall – Their Fall season runs from September 20 to Columbus Day).

Winter:  Morse Farm offers breakfast options as well as natural snacks for incoming visitors.
